Yoga for Stress and Anxiety with Candace Stevens

We all suffer from some form of stress in our lives; whether periodic or pervasive, yoga can help alleviate it! In this workshop, we’ll explore techniques to reduce anxiety in the present, and work to create patterns to lessen it in the future. Using breath, movement, and meditation you will develop a mind-body tool kit to help restore balance in the present moment. This class will be comprised of both lecture and an all-levels physical practice. Bring a mat, a notebook, and the desire to relax and release. This class is safe and appropriate for all levels of practice.

more about candace:
Candace was first drawn to yoga in high school through the music of The Beatles and George Harrison. After taking a several-week course her Freshman year of college, she knew she wanted to dive deeper into her study of mind, body, and movement. After practicing for five years, she entered RYAH Yoga & Health and Yoga Schelter’s 200 hour Vinyasa Flow training, graduating in April of 2010. Candace draws from many styles of yoga and specializes in creative, dynamic flows, while striving to cultivate energy and inspiration. Candace also has a Master’s degree in Clinical & Psychology, which she fuses with yoga in workshops such as Yoga for Stress & Anxiety.
